Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager with a strong AR background to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of the AR function. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio, reports to the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and proactively manage accounts receivable records, including customer contact data, the completeness of customer invoicing and the accuracy of cash application.
• Manage DSO to company targets by implementing and improving procedures to collect current and past due balances.
• Create and manage a regular cadence of reporting of AR KPIs.
• Recommend changes to the company’s current processes to streamline the collection process and improve customer visibility into open balances.
• Post cash receipts to customer accounts daily.
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable Sub-ledger to the General Ledger monthly.
• Work closely with the invoicing team to research and resolve customer’s billing inquiries and disputed balances.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a lead Accounts Receivable role.
• 5+ years of logistics industry experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• Comfortable with/learning current and emerging online accounting and finance tools.
• Ability to work independently.
• Sense of ownership and urgency.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
