Job Description

We are seeking a professional Armed Security Officer to provide visible patrol, incident response, and de-escalation at a retail location, working Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM; candidates must possess a valid Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC), their own MA-compliant firearm, strong communication and de-escalation skills, and be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Job Summary:

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols
• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Respond to emergency situations and provide security assistance
• Engage with the public to offer assistance and directions
• Monitor closed-circuit television for potential issues

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience
• Active Armed Security license
• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
