We are working with a well-established Grower/Shipper/Packer that is searching for a Farm Manager to join their team in FL and in TN. Responsibilities: Coordinate with supervisor all weekly and monthly activities. Work with employees to coordinate daily and weekly activities. Assist in conducting monthly training sessions in coordination with supervisor. Accurately assess employee’s performance requiring evaluation as assigned. Assist in supervising and correcting all processes in planting, weed control, pest control, fertilizations, irrigation, monitoring and miscellaneous activities. Provide a daily report of irrigation, pest management, nutrient deficiencies and daily activities. Responsible to keep all paperwork in order in a daily basis. Responsible to maintain compliance with safety regulations and correct all safety hazards. Assist with operational support on equipment. Perform both emergency and corrective action repairs. Prepare both building and processing equipment for season start-up and shut down. Perform duties in an effective and efficient manner with little or no supervision. ‘ Be able to work a flexible work schedule that may consist of days, nights, and weekends. Read equipment O&M manuals and generate parts requests lists. Completion of all work orders via CMMS. Qualifications: B.S in agriculture or related area. 3+ years’ experience in agriculture and/or maintenance in a food grade industrial facility. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Must be able to read and write effectively as to prepare daily written reports and other Administrative paperwork and email correspondence. Should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Exchange Strong leader with proven results in Watercress and knowledge on soil management, fertilization, weeds control, and IPM. Must have a valid driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. Must have a Pesticide applicator license for all states needed. Basic Mechanical skills required (gear boxes, motors, bearings, etc.) Welding and Fabrication skills a plus. Basic Electrical and troubleshooting experience 5 years’ experience preferred. Basic Ammonia Refrigeration, HVAC, Industrial Ice Machines, and Boiler experience a plus.
