Sysco has immediate job openings for CDL A Delivery Truck Driver Trainees without a CDL to train to become dependable Delivery Partners. You will train for your Class-A CDL, including how to safely operate a tractor-trailer, to unload/deliver various products to an assigned route schedule, and build relationships with each customer using a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations. Duties and Responsibilities include unloading product from trailer by hand or hand cart, transporting product in all weather conditions, bending and twisting while loading/unloading, verifying delivery with customers, performing pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities following DOT regulations and Sysco policies, handling damaged goods and returns, completing DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports, and delivering product within assigned route schedule. Qualifications include being 21+ years old, obtaining a valid CDL Permit and DOT medical certification prior to pre-employment background check, passing pre-employment testing, obtaining CDL within 90 days of start date, having one year distribution/warehouse or military experience, and ability to read and speak English sufficiently. Physical demands include frequently lifting/moving product up to 100 pounds and reaching up to 72 inches to stack pallets. Working conditions require schedule flexibility including overtime, weekends, holidays, and varied start/end times. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
