Duties

Must be able to catch and load chickens in a timely, efficient and safe manner into cages.

Ability to catch and load chickens using proper lifting and loading techniques. Operate catching and loading equipment using proper techniques and procedures to insure safe handling of birds. Other duties as assigned.

1. Adaptability :
   • Comfortable working in avian environments, with exposure to odors and feathers.
2. Odor Tolerance :
   • Ability to tolerate strong bird-related odors on a daily basis.
3. Cleanliness :
   • Maintain cleanliness and follow biosecurity protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
4. Animal Handling :
   • Comfortable working closely with birds in various settings.
5. Physical Resilience :
   • Able to work in dusty or dirty conditions and handle manual bird care tasks.
6. Animal Welfare Awareness :
   • Adhere to animal welfare standards for humane bird care.
7. Learning Attitude :
   • Willingness to learn about bird species, behaviors, and care practices.
8. Teamwork :
   • Effective communication and teamwork skills for a harmonious work environment.

Other Qualifications

• Able to work - 8 to14 hours shifts as needed
• Must be able to constantly lift 50 lbs for the duration of the work shift
• Must be able to bend, squat and kneel for duration of the work shift
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays and shifts with variable starting and ending times when needed.
• No Allergies, able to work around birds
• Not be exposed to other birds at home
• Be able to pass Drug and Background Screening
