Join to apply for the Concept Artist role at LeadStack Inc. Netherrealm Studios, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks a Concept Artist responsible for creating high-quality prop, character, and environment concepts. The artist will collaborate closely with the Art Director and leads to ensure the concept art aligns with the game's aesthetic goals. Job Responsibilities Create clear and understandable concept art for props, characters, creatures, weapons, etc., for use by other artists (60%) Guide and provide feedback on content generated by internal and external artists (10%) Participate in departmental meetings, share ideas, and help improve workflow and quality (10%) Seek and incorporate feedback from leads, directors, and collaborators (20%) Must Have Skills / Requirements Experience with Unreal Engine At least a 2-year 2D/3D art degree or equivalent experience Ability to make decisions on assets Preferred Skills BFA degree is preferred Soft Skills Strong in look development and visual design processes Capable of creating various production-quality concept art including turnarounds and speed paintings Knowledge of design fundamentals and familiarity with industry tools Excellent visual storytelling with striking proportions Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Receptive to feedback and team-oriented Education / Certifications Minimum 2-year 2D/3D art degree or equivalent; students in school may apply Interview Process One-round panel interview with key team members Additional Notes Sourcing in Chicago, US Daily Responsibilities Create concept art, guide team content, participate in meetings, and incorporate feedback as outlined above.
