POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The ECMO Specialist participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Completion of University Health or other ELSO-based ECMO training program preferred. Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred. Degree preferred. Must have a minimum 2 years critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC). Must obtain BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ECMO certification within 6 months of hire.
LICENSURE
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is mandatory.
