Elementary School Social Worker

AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Social Worker to support Elementary (K-2) students in Ferndale, MI . This is a full-time role serving a diverse population of early elementary learners with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

The School Social Worker will be the only SSW in the building and will have access to private office space, allowing for confidential student support and family collaboration. The clinician will work alongside a Behavior Interventionist who supports general education students and 504 plans, creating a strong team-based support model.

Salary Range: $57,500 - $75,000/year (based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide school social work services aligned with students’ IEPs and educational goals
• Deliver individual and small-group social-emotional and behavioral interventions
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and the building Behavior Interventionist
• Consult with staff to support students in both special education and general education settings
• Partner with families to provide resources, guidance, and community-based referrals
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP development, reviews, and meetings
• Support early learners’ social-emotional development through preventative and responsive services

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program

• Full or Limited License in the state of Michigan (LMSW or LLMSW)

• Eligible for or currently hold School Social Work Approval in Michigan

• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
