Responsibilities

• Advocate for the best and most efficient care for hospital patients.
• Remove barriers to care and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
• Collaborate with attending physicians to optimize patient care pathways.
• Support and enhance the clinical credibility of the Care Coordination Department's utilization and compliance activities.
• Participate in an annual performance evaluation using hospital-adopted metrics.
• Promote systems-based practice, regulatory compliance, and quality considerations.
• Interact with multidisciplinary groups to improve the quality of patient care.
• Option for moonlighting or limited clinical practice
• Open to any specialty

• Physician License (or the ability to obtain) in the State of California (Required).
• 5+ years of experience practicing medicine in a recognized hospital or office environment (Required).
• 2+ years of work experience as a Physician Advisor (Preferred).
• Membership in the American College of Physician Advisors (Preferred).
• Certification in Health Care Quality Management (HCQM) (Required).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical knowledge skills.
• Ability to interact with physicians in a collaborative and positive manner.
• Highly organized and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary groups.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

As a Physician Advisor, you will be a vital link between our Care Coordination Department, Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, and Administration. You will champion evidence-based standards of medical care, ensure appropriate utilization of hospital resources, and facilitate seamless communication to optimize patient outcomes. You will be an advocate for the best and most efficient care, removing barriers, and working collaboratively with attending physicians.
