Job Summary

DJ&A is seeking a Structural Engineer with 0-5 years of experience preparing calculations and construction documents for the structural design and analysis of a variety of structures, including bridges, buildings, and non-building structures. This position will support teams in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects varying in size and complexity from conception to completion. Project experience with federal agencies and knowledge of federal contracting requirements is preferred but is not required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structures
• E.I./E.I.T. licensure or recent completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
• 0-5 years of experience in structural engineering projects
• Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Independent, self-motivated, results-oriented, and dynamic
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with geographically dispersed teams

Preferred Qualifications

• P.E. licensure or plans to obtain license
• Experience with Mathcad and Enercalc

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to travel to various (and sometimes remote) project sites
• Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas

• Wage commensurate with qualifications and experience (approximately $30-$40 per hour)
