What You Will Do - Serve as a key strategic partner to the Chancellor by converting leadership priorities into actionable outcomes across the university.
- Act as an executive and operational liaison among divisions, departments, and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Align strategic goals with execution to support operational excellence and advance immediate and long-term institutional priorities.
- Manage high-impact, cross-functional university projects and initiatives to ensure alignment and measurable progress.
- Provide leadership and direct supervision to assigned staff through coaching, performance management, and effective delegation to achieve departmental goals and deliver excellent service.
- Support the Executive Assistant in managing the Chancellor's schedule, events, communications, and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure university operations comply with institutional policies, regulations, and best practices while maintaining transparency and information sharing with internal and external constituents.
FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications - Terminal degree, preferably a Ph.D./Ed.D in an academic discipline or Juris Doctorate.
- At least 10 years experience working in a post-secondary environment, at least 4 of which were working on an executive level team
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing employees
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering strategic organizational initiatives Skills required:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives;
- Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead with focus and motivate teams, manage projects, and drive results;
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Problem Solving: In a high-stakes environment, must have the ability to analyze complex situations, identify solutions, and assess potential outcomes;
- Confidentiality: With access to sensitive legal, personnel, financial and other information, the incumbent must be able to maintain strict confidentiality;
- Operations: Must demonstrate the ability to "get things done" in a complex fast-paced work environment while adhering to a matrix of various policies, regulations and laws governing the university;
- Integrity: The person must operate effectively with uncompromised integrity.
