Field Service Engineer

Job Description:

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Field Service Engineer for a full-time position. This role requires up to 50% travel and is responsible for equipment commissioning, site acceptance testing, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training. The ideal candidate will have electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering expertise and experience with process controls and instrumentation .

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites to perform commissioning, site acceptance testing, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair .
• Provide customer training on equipment and system operations.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing before deployment.
• Provide feedback to engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams .
• Maintain detailed field service trip reports documenting work performed.
• Work with engineering teams for drawing and software updates based on field service activities.
• Provide remote client support as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferably in manufacturing or field service).
• Training in ISO standards, OSHA10, and Confined Space Configuration .
• UL508A and NEC standards knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with process controls, instrumentation, PLCs, and HMIs .
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• AutoCAD or Solidworks proficiency is preferred.
