RoseBernard Studio, an interior design and concept studio specializing in high-end hospitality design experiences for hotels and restaurants across the globe, is seeking an exceptional creative full-time Intermediate Designer to join our design team. Excellent, competitive benefits!
The Intermediate Designer position will work closely with the Design Director, Creative Director, Junior Designers, and Technical Designers in developing design concepts to client, including working with architects and contractors as needed. We are looking for candidates with at least 4-5 years of creative interior design experience, who have a portfolio demonstrating an eye for detail and design style aligning with our firm’s vision. Candidates should show the ability to execute a design project from start to finish including concept, design development, space planning, a unique sourcing perspective, drawings for interior architectural design intent and construction administration, installation.

We are a boutique firm with a talented team who are very passionate about what we do. We require that all employees reside in the Bay Area, work in our San Francisco studio, T-TH and have the option to work remote on Mondays and Fridays.
Business Development
• Professionally represent ROSEBERNARD STUDIO within the design market.
• Participate in CSR projects, site visits, and meetings as required
• Participate in industry and professional communities and value-added professional associations, maintain active membership (IIDA, ASID, NEWH, etc.)
• Develop and nurture vendor relationships
Research & Development
• Observe and communicate design trends within the hospitality market.
• Consistently observe and research how to communicate design intent in a clear and compelling way, i.e. presentation and rendering techniques
• Attend vendor presentations and inform the team of new and innovative products and/or “must-sees”
• Pursue individual professional development
Design Responsibilities:
• With guidance, assist in the development and realization of design project from start to finish, under the direction of the Lead Designer and Project Manager.
• Develop skills and assist the team in conceiving concept and design to meet client program, ROSEBERNARD STUDIO standards and, project budget constraints.
• Mentor Design Interns.
• Consistently work within and maintain RBS Standards
• With guidance, assist the team in preparing and completing documentation packages for all phases of a project.
• Responsible for coordinating the completion of presentation packages, material boards and all other presentation collateral for the team.
• Responsible for organization of project folders and materials, adhering to RBS Standards
• Responsible for the ordering of project samples and coordinating the completion of physical specification binders and/or shipment of tagged contractor samples.
• Assist in project specification writing.
• Assist in overall department tasks/organization and production of CSR deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/QUALITIES:
• Architecture or Interior Design degree, accredited 4yr+ program. (Internship experience is desired)
• Passion and understanding of the design process in color, product selection and form
• Ability to graphically communicating design direction; including but, not limited to hand sketching/rendering of design ideas and 3D visualization of furniture and spaces.
• Strong organizational skills
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and any other industry standard program and/or practices.
• Is collaborative, self-motivated, positive, and flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable in interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and internal staff as required.
• 5-year Minimum Experience in the Hospitality Design Industry as an Interior Designer
