Job Description

A Molecular Laboratory Technician position in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, you will function as a key member of a team that supports protein analysis including ELISA and protein assay development. The pay range for this position is $28.00-35.00/hr. – depending on your level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare antigen for immunization, titer and purify antibodies, and develop/validate new immunoassays. 
• Bring new ideas and innovative solutions to the team and effectively evaluate, implement, and drive results 
• Communicate progress and results with team members and projects in a timely fashion 
• Independently conduct experiments related to protein analysis including ELISA and immunoassay development 
• Maintain good notebook 
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong trouble-shooting skills to daily work 
• Perform analysis within timelines and under time and business pressure 
• Assist in writing and reviewing documentation, including SOPs, reports, and work instructions 
• Perform all activities in accordance with the Syngenta Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy 
• Follow quality management system instructions and maintain accurate experimental records according to company policy with good attention to detail

Qualifications

• BS degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, or related field along with 1-3 years of experience in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology is required. Industrial experience is a plus. 
• Experience in protein analysis such as ELISA and protein assay development. Demonstrated ability to independently design, validate and implement protein-based assays, e.g., ELISA.
• Experience in protein extraction and quantification.
• Capable of delivering high quality data in specified timelines.
• Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to business demands. 
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Well-organized, with ability to carry out multiple tasks 
• Comfortable with database usage 

Pay Details: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
