Job Title: OB Scrub Tech

Location: Neptune, NJ 07754

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Compensation: $1,500 – $1,800 per week

• Order and stock supplies for the OR, PACU, labor rooms, and related areas such as warmers, scrub sinks, and the OR ante-room.

• Maintain readiness of instruments and supplies for the operating room and vaginal deliveries.

• Follow sterile techniques, including proper scrub, gown, and glove protocols.

• Set up the operative table appropriately and pass instruments during procedures.

• Maintain accurate sponge and instrument counts.

• Assist surgeons in OB/GYN procedures including Cesarean Sections, Hysterectomies, D&Cs, manual placenta removals, and cervical laceration repairs.

• Communicate relevant patient information or concerns to the nursing staff throughout the shift.

• Respond promptly to patient/family requests and call lights, regardless of assigned responsibilities.

• Assist with safeguarding and labeling patient belongings and ensure proper transfer during discharge or relocation.

• Remain calm and use appropriate judgment in team-based emergency situations.

• Participate actively during crisis scenarios, including isolating patients and providing reassurance.

• Demonstrate proper care and use of medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for use.

• Support patient safety and positive outcomes through sound clinical judgment and critical thinking.

• Adhere to NJ Department of Health regulations, JCAHO standards, and institutional policies.

• Maintain professional ethics and demonstrate alignment with clinical codes of conduct.

• Minimum 2 years of OB Tech or Surgical Tech experience in an acute care setting.

• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

• Certified OB Technician
