Job Description

'The role is responsible for supporting the entire packaging development process for a company, from initial concept to production. This involves assisting in the development and execution of innovative packaging solutions that align with market trends, consumer behavior, and the company's brand identity, working with cross‑functional teams to align on packaging requirements and contributing to technical and financial feasibility evaluation of projects. Further, the role entails assisting in prototyping and industrialization processes of packaging materials, supporting relationships with suppliers and partners, and providing assistance in packaging materials and processes optimization. Lastly, the role demands tracking KPIs and metrics to measure packaging development activities performance, researching on industry trends and emerging technologies, providing reports and relevant updates to management for decision making.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the development and execution of packaging concepts for both new product launches and enhancements to existing packaging solutions, aligning with market trends, consumer behavior, and consistency with company brand identity; Works with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Production) to align on packaging requirements and contributing to technical and financial feasibility assessment of proposed packaging solutions; Supports the development of packaging prototypes, including the creation and assessment of physical prototypes to ensure they meet quality standards, requirements and effectiveness in preserving product integrity and appeal; Supports the industrialization process for packaging materials, including the translation of packaging concepts into technical specifications, and assisting in the development of a feasible and scalable production process that meets quality and efficiency targets; Supports and maintains relationships with packaging partners and suppliers, preparing proposals, ensuring adherence to contract terms and conditions throughout the relationship, and tracking performance; Assists the development of initiatives aimed at enhancing packaging materials (e.g., grammage, structure, etc.) and production processes (e.g., reducing scrap, increasing production speed, reducing sealing temperature), working with relevant cross‑functional teams (e.g., Production, Engineering) to support the identification of inefficiencies and reporting findings to management; Ensures packaging development activities and initiatives comply with relevant industry laws, regulations, and standards; Keeps track of KPIs and metrics to measure packaging development activities performance, providing reports with variances and key insights to management for decision making; Conducts research and analysis on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement or innovation on packaging solutions, providing relevant updates to management.
