Patient Care Coordinator - Laboratory Express

About the Role
Laboratory Express is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to guide patients through the laboratory testing process and serve as their primary point of contact. Ideal for compassionate professionals who want to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate patient laboratory appointments and specimen collection scheduling
• Communicate test preparation instructions and follow-up care to patients
• Assist patients with insurance verification and authorization processes
• Enter patient information and track testing progress through laboratory systems
• Handle patient inquiries regarding test results, billing, and procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality
Requirements
• High school diploma required; healthcare or customer service experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient interaction abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn healthcare software systems
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive patient situations
• No laboratory experience required - comprehensive patient care and medical procedures training provided!
