Patient Escort I to join our team and support patient care by ensuring safe and timely transportation throughout the hospital.
What You'll Do: - Safely transport patients via stretcher, wheelchair, bed, or specialized vehicle to and from various hospital departments.
- Assist clinical staff with patient transfers.
- Maintain and care for transport equipment.
- Attend training sessions and departmental meetings.
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
What We're Looking For: - Education: High school diploma preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of customer service experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certification: Must be able to obtain BLS certification upon hire.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
- Knowledge of hospital layout and body mechanics
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Physical Requirements: - Continuous standing, walking, pushing/pulling heavy equipment.
- Occasional bending, crouching, lifting.
- Exposure to cleaning agents, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.

After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
