Job Description

Responsibilities Include

Teaching the PE curriculum, which includes fitness, wellness, and sport, as assigned in grades K-12
coaching the equivalent of two varsity seasons in the Middle and/or Upper School athletic program
competence in inclusive, anti-bias, anti-racist pedagogy
participating in and/or leading grade-level team planning meetings with PE colleagues
prioritizing the safety of students and athletes in all settings
helping to plan and execute school-wide events hosted by the PE and Athletics Departments.

The Ideal Candidate Will

have a bachelor's degree in the subject area
have at least three years of experience in teaching PE
have experience in and enthusiasm for teaching and coaching students
demonstrate the ability to develop and adapt pedagogy, curriculum, and assessments for students with a range of skill levels and learning styles
show a commitment to helping girls think independently and develop confidence in their own abilities
have excellent collaboration and communication skills
be able to articulate how one's identity plays a role in the classroom and on the field and model inclusive behavior in all settings.
