We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Jan 2, 2026, and involves flexible 12-hour shifts, including both days and nights, to address coverage gaps as needed. Candidates must have experience with conscious sedation and ventilator management.

Job Details

• Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am), with flexibility required for assignment to either days or nights based on operational needs

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide pediatric critical care under the direction of the attending physician
• Perform conscious sedation for pediatric patients
• Manage ventilator support for critically ill children
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Complete documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Adapt to changing schedules and coverage needs as determined by the hospital

Additional Information

• Active New York Physician Assistant license required
• Board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine required
• Flexibility in scheduling is essential; assignment may alternate between day and night shifts
• Experience with chemotherapy and CADD pumps is preferred but not required
