We are seeking a Pediatric Surgery Physician Assistant for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Jan 2, 2026, and offers flexible scheduling with a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts. Providers will be assigned to fill critical coverage gaps as needed within the pediatric surgery team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide clinical support in pediatric surgery, assisting surgeons with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care
• Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans under the supervision of pediatric surgeons
• Participate in patient rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to pediatric patients
• Respond to urgent or emergent clinical needs within the surgery department
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient encounters and care provided
• Adapt quickly to schedule changes and varying shift assignments as directed by the hospital

Additional Information

• Active New York physician assistant license required
• Board certification in Pediatric Surgery required
• Flexibility is essential; providers may be switched between day and night shifts according to patient and client needs
