Plant Controller

Plant Controller - Accounting

Position Overview
The Plant Controller will oversee all accounting functions within the manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles. This role will play a critical part in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the accounting department in the plant, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and cost control.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present operational reporting to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, including auditing processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing operations to optimize financial performance and reduce costs.
• Implement and maintain ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics and Navision, to streamline financial processes.
• Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in the consumer goods, food, or protein industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics and Navision.
• Familiarity with consumer products and food manufacturing sectors is a plus.
• Demonstrated skills in strategic planning and team leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
