The state licensed and nationally accredited child care center supports the growth and learning for children from 15 months to 5 years. You will work collaboratively with a team of professional teachers to strengthen children and families by providing high-quality education and care so parents can work or further their education. You will report directly to the Director of Acorn Early Education and Care.In this role, you will:* Provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and child-focused environment that supports children in developing age-appropriate skills* Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), state, local, and BCNC guidelines* Design and implement a curriculum that addresses young children’s needs and cultural interests, using assessment and evaluation results to tailor learning experiences* Collaborate with program staff to communicate with families and professionals when children require special services, and participate in core evaluations as requested* Maintain effective communication and build respectful relationships with staff, children, and families* Assist in organizing and maintaining program records, files, logs, and documentation* Uphold staff ethics and demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality* Engage in professional development by attending workshops, conferences, monthly supervision, staff meetings, BCNC meetings, and training sessions* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor**What We Look For*** Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with a willingness to pursue a Bachelor’s degree within one year* Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred* MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Lead Teacher certification required* First Aid and CPR certification to be obtained within six months of employment* Proven ability to build strong relationships with individuals of all ages, including adults, children, and families* Demonstrated respect for diversity and ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment* Professional proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese required**What We Offer*** Competitive compensation package* Comprehensive health, life, and disability coverage* Retirement plan with employer matching* Supportive time-off policy* Professional development**Working Conditions*** Must be available to work a flexible schedule and may require local travel during the workday* This position involves performing essential job functions in typical work environments, including but not limited to offices, classrooms, or community settings. Duties may require routine movement such as walking, standing, and bending.
