Job title:  Production Operator
\n Location:  Tiffin, OH, 44883
\n Pay rate: $18.50
\n Shift:  Sunday - Thursday: 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM. OT as needed. Candidate will need to be available to train first day on 1st shift (6:15 am) and moved to 3rd shift on second day.
\n Contract:  Contract-to-hire
\n Interview: No interview, Manager to review resumes and approve offer

\n\n

\nThe Production Associate position is an hourly position, and reports to the Shift Supervisor. The contractor works at presses, assist machine operators, removes parts from press, separates parts from scrap, assembles parts, stacks or packages parts and operates equipment.

\n\n

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\n

\n\t
• Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment when required\n\t
• Regular attendance is essential\n\t
• Works in a team environment ensures helpers understand their role, knows what precautions are necessary and location of emergency stop buttons\n\t
• Understands and interprets company work orders and job control procedures\n\t
• Works efficiently and accurately to achieve and maintain 100% of goal. Gets or requests materials needed, assembles totes, prepares skids, bags and boxes for packaging\n\t
• Packages specific number of parts on skids, in bags, boxes, etc., labels them, stacks bags of parts on racks, or in appropriate packaging and moves totes/skids of parts to a storage area or to the next operation\n\t
• Ensures that safety devices are in place and reports any unsafe behavior or situation\n\t
• Is aware of activities in working surroundings and is responsible for keeping the area clean, tidy, and safe\n\t
• Other tasks as assigned by Leader\n

\n JOB REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

\n\n

\n\t
• Must have ability to read/write and interpret documents (safety rules, operating/procedure instructions, blueprints, etc..)\n\t
• Must have ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervision and management\n\t
• Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations\n\t
• Must have the ability to use a tape measure\n

\n\n

\n EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

\n\n

\n\t
• Must be at least 18 years old\n\t
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent\n\t
• 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\n

\n\n

\n ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

\n\n

\n\t
• Standing/walking for 8 – 12 hours at a time\n\t
• Exposure to noise is usually moderate\n\t
• Bending, twisting and turning\n\t
• Full use of both hands – to handle, feel objects, tools, controls, etc.\n\t
• Close and distance vision abilities\n\t
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts\n

\n Dress Code

\n\n

\n\t
• Wear your steel toe/composite boots or shoes, Owens Corning will provide you with all other PPE required for the job.\n\t
• Wear long pants (any form of pants from waist to ankle, pants must be free from holes greater than 1” in diameter), shirt sleeves should be a minimum of 4 inches. Employees wearing a beard, must be no longer than 2” from the chin or a beard cover must be worn.\n

PPE requirements:

• Bump Cap (plastic piece that is inserted into your hat to protect your head, similar to a safety helmet but not as bulky) – Company Provided\n\t
• Gloves – Company Provided\n\t
• Sleeves (depending on the job that they are performing) – Company Provided\n\t
• Steel toe / composite toe boot or shoe – Temp’s responsibility to bring on their first\n
