The School of Cinematic Arts at DePaul University seeks aprofessional editor, finisher, or visual effects artist for a term(Professional Lecturer) position in one of the most innovative andfastest-growing cinema programs in the country. Position begins in September2023.

There are currently over 1,900 majors enrolled in our BA, BFA, BS,MS, and MFA degree programs including concentrations in editing, visualeffects, documentary, animation, creative producing, directing and sound.Resources include four full sound stages at Cinespace Studios, two soundstudios, color and editing suites, industry-standard camera packages, a griptruck, two green screen stages, motion capture systems, a television studio,and two theaters. Ideal candidates for the positions will have extensive experiencein one of the following areas: fiction editing, finishing, or visual effects.College-level teaching experience desired. Job responsibilities includeteaching, curricular development, service, supervising student/faculty projectsand continued creative activities and/or scholarship in the field. Applicantswith success in working with diverse student bodies are strongly encouraged toapply. Terminal degree and/or equivalent professional experience is preferred.Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; positions aredependent on budget approval.
