The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations. This role involves preparing reports, reconciling accounts, coordinating with external CPAs for audits and tax filings, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in handling complex accounting functions independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle all accounting functions from start to finish for 5 to 10 assigned entities, ensuring accurate financial management.
• Coordinate with external CPAs to provide necessary documents for tax filings, financial statements, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare key financial reports such as cash flow projections and loan summaries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, post adjusting entries, and manage accruals, amortizations, and fixed asset depreciation.
• Protect financial data confidentiality, uphold accounting controls, and stay updated on industry practices and regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a small company environment.
• Consistent and stable employment history.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent).
• At least 7 years of general accounting experience in the US.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, able to multitask, and deliver high-quality work efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Experience with QuickBooks
