Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience including public accounting experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation principles.
Ability to perform technical accounting research and draft clear memos.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in utility operations and regulatory reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 606, business combinations, and purchase accounting.
• Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and disclosures.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Flexibility to extend contract as needed.

Job Description

A Portland-based utility company is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst for a project-based role focused on complex technical accounting initiatives. Key work includes ASC 606 revenue recognition analyses, goodwill impairment assessments, purchase price accounting updates, and contract reviews for accounting implications. The role will also research and document technical accounting issues, support external disclosures, monitor emerging FASB/SEC guidance, assist with audits and SOX compliance, and collaborate across teams on ad hoc projects.
