SUMMARY:

This is a hybrid position. The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting practices of the company. Their duties include creating and analyzing financial reports, delegating accounting tasks to other team members and reconciling financial statements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting with accounting tasks such as invoicing or tracking purchase order numbers
• Creating staff payrolls and approving client or supplier payments
• Investigating accounting irregularities, mistakes or potential fraud
• Producing regular financial reports, such as budgets or cash flow forecasts
• Offering advice and suggestions to management that can improve the accounting processes and financial stability of a company
• Reconciling balance sheets
• Ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepting accounting principles
• Proficient with technology systems, with specific skills in MS Office Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Adobe, Netsuite experience desirable
• Highly proficient with accounting software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work with others in a team
