Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is a reputable Top 150 CPA firm located in Orange County. They are seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various tax returns including federal and state corporate, individual, gift and estate, trust and partnership returns.
• Interact with clients to ensure satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.
• Work closely with other Staff, Managers and Partners, on client management and professional development.
• Apply basic knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies
• Prepare financial statements with disclosures
• Develop self-learning and problem solving skills
• Involvement in marketing events/community service projects as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or required.
• Masters in Taxation degree a plus.
• CPA or on track to CPA preferred.
• 3+ years prior public accounting experience in taxation preferred
• Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
• Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
• A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:
$95,000 per year
