Overview

Intelligent Waves (IW), a rapidly growing DoD contractor and has an immediate need for a Technical Account Sales Manager to supporting growth of IW’s Products. The Technical Account Sales Manager is responsible for driving expansion that leads to increased sales revenues generated from IW’s products. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this manager must develop and implement tactics and strategies to grow the DoD account with IW’s products. This includes lead generation and prospecting strategies to establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and target clients to close new sales. Must work in close cooperation and collaboration with other Technical Account Sales Managers, Product Engineers, Business Development teams, and Field CTOs.

Security Clearance: This Technical Account Sales Manager position must be a United States Citizen and have the ability to obtain a TS-SCI with DOD .

Location & Travel : This Technical Account Sales Manager position can be based anywhere in the continental US and will require remote/telework and travel to customer sites. Travel is expected to be approximately 40%, as needed to meet with customers. Travel will be reimbursed based on GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols.

Responsibilities

Roles and Resposibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Implement sound sales strategies not just to retain, but also to grow the existing business.
  • Identify customer needs and translate them into tangible business opportunities.
  • Coordinate and organize technical support for demos, proofs of concept, and support of evaluation.
  • Direct and support collaborative sales efforts to grow one or more assigned product lines.
  • Produce a market intelligence report for the leadership team, that helps in taking strategic decisions.
  • Anticipate the needs of customers and execute on a sales strategy to increase sales and become the technical vendor of choice.
  • Develop productive business relationships with key stakeholders in the field.
  • Connect with customers and build relationships to offer and provide value add solutions.
  • Participate and be integral part of Industry Shows, Conferences and Events.
  • Utilize IW’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and pipeline tracking tools.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities from existing / new clients and manage the periodic contract renewal process.
  • Swiftly respond and close all the RFQ's and RFI's in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Participate in a 'continuous learning' process with the IW Product Engineering Teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline. In lieu of a technical degree work experience will be considered relevant to the degree.
  • Must have minimum 5 years experience in technology product sales.
  • Must have demonstrated success in achieving sales metrics to include pipeline generation and closures.
  • Knowledge of DoD industry, including technologies and roadmaps
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and attention to details.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with ability to talk with engineers and senior leaders about product capabilities and intricacies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI security clearance with DOD.
