Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

\n

• Work varied day shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM OR Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
\n• 36 guaranteed hours per week
\n• Call requirements include one weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday 3:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)
\n• Must have strong neuro experience and 2+ years OR experience in acute care setting
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification
\n• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
\n• Must have neurosurgery experience and 2+ years hospital/specialty experience
\n• Robotic experience and Meditech documentation system experience preferred
\n• Perform high volume of general and neuro surgery including craniotomies, orthopedic, robotic procedures, urology, plastic surgery, heart and transplant procedures
\n• Work with advanced equipment including DaVinci XI, Globus and Mako robots, microscopes, and standard OR equipment
\n• OR nursing with 1:1 patient ratios
\n• 1-2 surgical techs per case for support
\n• Facility provides scrubs
\n• Must maintain clean, healthy nails (no gel or artificial nails beyond fingertips)
\n• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
\n• Body art should be covered when possible, visible piercings other than ears prohibited
\n• Floating as needed based on unit requirements

The facility specializes in high-volume surgical procedures with 85% spine surgeries and 15% brain surgeries, utilizing advanced robotic technology and state-of-the-art surgical equipment. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and employs cutting-edge surgical techniques across multiple specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, plastic surgery, cardiovascular, and transplant services.
