Job Title: Vertical Key Account Manager Location(s): Remote Compensation: $70,000 - $120,000 with Bonus/Commissions About This Position Advantech has an opening for a highly motivated and seasoned Vertical Key Account Manager focused on servicing Advantech’s existing and future Military/Aerospace clients with embedded computing product and supply chain service needs. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, hungry and technical, exhibiting the ability to hunt and drive new opportunities. The candidate will be required to identify and review engineering specifications, coordinate and propose product solutions, negotiate sales and service contracts while interfacing with OEM/Military/Government customers. This role is a hunter role and being customer centric and service minded is key. We want someone with a passion for understanding our customers’ business initiatives and servicing those needs with the various embedded solutions Advantech offers. The ideal individual will be able to understand, find a match for and articulate Advantech’s core competencies and value proposition to key OEM clients. A successful Vertical Key Account Manager will have the ability to sell at the VP/C-Level across all disciplines with focus on Engineering, Product & Operations. Responsibilities Developing new business Interfacing with channel partners and key account contacts Growing the target account base year over year Meeting or exceeding set quotas Preparation and delivery of OEM proposals within prospective accounts Seek out new OEM/Military/Government accounts through prospecting and customer visits Create a target list of accounts for rugged embedded products Promote Advantech rugged products and participate in tradeshows to generate new leads Strategically position Advantech’s value proposition to key accounts Serve as a strategic business resource to the OEMs Negotiate various types of contracts Manage daily sales operations and working with cross functional teams Qualifications Prior Pre or Post sales experience with Military/government customers Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong understanding of the technical requirements in computer hardware and embedded electronics Experience selling into OEMs, End Users, Integrators, Resellers Successful candidate should have 3-5 years' sales experience with embedded and computer system level products, military/government market preferred Self-starter, team player, positive attitude who can work independently without constant supervision Understanding of embedded systems, industrial PC (hardware and software) is a plus Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer or Business preferred Benefits Competitive salary dependent on experience (DOE) Winning culture with a friendly, team-oriented environment!
