Director-State & Local Government Relations Join to apply for the Director-State & Local Government Relations role at SSA Marine . The Director-Government Relations serves as the primary contact for all state and local government affairs where SSA Marine operates or has interests. Under the guidance of the Vice President-Government Relations, the Director will provide intelligence, advice, and support to all business units and functions regarding proposed regulatory, legislative, and policy changes, as well as community relations in relevant states. The Director will represent SSA Marine before state and local governments, including elected officials, councils, legislatures, and staff, and collaborate with business leads to support grants and resource opportunities with local and state governments. Provide intelligence, advice, and support concerning regulatory, legislative, and policy changes and community relations in states where the company operates. Represent the company before state and local governments and professional organizations to advocate for SSA Marine. Communicate with customers, vendors, and stakeholders about state laws, policies, and their impact on business. Coordinate with SSA leads to support grant applications and resource opportunities with local and state governments. Support and backup other special projects in the U.S. and globally as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
