Parkhurst Dining is part of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, a regional portfolio of foodservice concepts serving 50 million guests annually in its restaurants, on college and corporate campuses and in every state through our online store.?PURPOSE:The Hospitality Management Intern is a paid internship position that supports the management team in providing outstanding customer service for our guests and clients. This role will also assist in key human resources functions such as recruiting and team member experience and productivity. Hospitality Interns will gain exposure to best practices while managing a fast-paced culinary business operation.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Client, Customer, and Guest Relations• Develops and maintains cooperative and congenial relationships with staff in other departments.• Greet guests and act as first point of contact for all guests.• Proactively addresses customer and client needs.• Models the Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.Operational Execution• Ensure cleanliness and presentability of facility.• Successfully operate POS system.• Understanding of company standards and cost controls.• Work with leadership to understand how to effectively operate a business through the lens of finances, supply chain, marketing, and organizational structure.Human Resources • Assist in talent acquisition tasks.• Help draft and implement action plans to influence team member engagement.• Observe disciplinary process.QUALIFICATIONS:• Current university student pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management or related field• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to learn and apply new information.• Strong leadership skills.• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and technologically savvy• Confident with a friendly personality• A demonstrated team playerSTART DATE & HOURS:Requires at least a full semester but can include a full academic year commitment beginning in the fall semester. Minimum of 10-20 hours per week, as agreed upon with supervisor, carried out over a minimum of two days per week. Schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedules and other on-campus commitments.
