Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a Product Owner to support a large-scale AI Platform Initiative within a leading enterprise organization. This initiative is focused on building next-generation AI systems that integrate across enterprise applications — spanning data management, intelligence layers, and AI agent operations.

This is an individual contributor role focused on driving epic and feature delivery across complex, cross-functional engineering teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical foundations, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record managing Agile product backlogs for large-scale technology programs.

Location: Hybrid (Able to work onsite a few days per week in Dallas, TX)

Contract: 12 months

Required Experience:

• 2–3+ years as a Product Owner or Technical Project Manager supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong technical foundation — background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Hands-on experience managing epics, features, and backlogs within Agile environments.
• Skilled in Jira (or similar Agile management tools) for sprint planning, prioritization, and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, working cross-functionally with engineering, architecture, and product teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with AI or Machine Learning (ML) concepts.
• Exposure to ML Ops or LM Ops environments (particularly valuable for the Agent Operations PO role).
• Experience working on cloud-native architectures, ideally in AWS environments.
• Understanding of data governance, data lakes, or knowledge graph systems.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage feature and epic delivery for assigned pods within the enterprise AI initiative.
• Translate business and technical requirements into actionable user stories for development teams.
• Oversee backlog management, sprint planning, and documentation to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Partner closely with engineering, architecture, and product leadership to drive deliverables aligned with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SE teams to ensure successful implementation across AI platform layers.
• Support reporting, risk tracking, and cross-team coordination in partnership with the Technical Program Manager.
