Flapjack Brewery, located in Berwyn’s historic Depot District just outside Chicago, is currently interviewing candidates for an experienced Server/Bartender to join our front-of-house team. If you’re passionate about hospitality, craft beer, and thrive in a fast-paced environment—we want to meet you!
Key Requirements:
Preferred experience with Square POS system
Valid Illinois BASSET Certification
Strong understanding of health codes and sanitation standards
Knowledge of craft beer and brewing process is a plus
Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
Able to work quickly under pressure
Must be 21+ years old
Responsibilities:
Greet and serve guests, take food and drink orders, and input into POS system
Check customer IDs and adhere to all alcohol service laws and regulations
Deliver drinks and food to tables promptly and accurately
Handle cash, card, and POS transactions—return correct change and close tabs
Clear and reset tables as needed; assist with bussing
Perform opening and closing tasks as assigned by Taproom Manager
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized bar and service area
Assist with restocking, rolling silverware, emptying bus tubs, refilling ice, and other team duties
Stand for extended periods and move efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Flex between bartender and server roles based on schedule and staffing needs
Light Cooking duties
